This event will empower advocates, health practitioners, and community members by connecting them with the organization that provides resources for intervention and prevention of Domestic Violence, the GCADV (Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence). The Goal for fundraising is 50,000 and the money raised from sponsorships, donations, and silent auction participation will allow the GCADV to continue to provide & create the community resources, educational programs and research that will ultimately lead to a decrease in injuries and deaths in Georgia due to domestic violence. Who do you know that has been affected by domestic violence? Sadly, more than 100 Georgians lose their lives to domestic violence each year, placing Georgia 10th highest in the nation for its rate of men killing women.
