So they created an easily identifiable, wear-resistant, waterproof bracelet that shows the caretaker&#8217;s phone number on it. This way if a grown-up spots a kid who looks lost and sees the bracelet, they would be able to phone the caretaker resolving the situation almost immediately and without too much panic. The bracelet was after the armadillo because this little animal, born wearing a natural suit of armor, is known as a symbol of safety. Matter of fact, the Spanish word armadillo literally translates into &#8220;little armored one,&#8221; which is exactly how they wanted to see the  children who wear the bracelet, safe from harm.  The bracelet is cool, trendy and unisex so that kids  want to wear it and it also is easy to use and affordable so parents will want to buy it.
